If a predator has preference for a specific phenotype, in this case, due to the facility to find orange butterflies, the part of the population with orange phenotype will be more easily predated, leading to a decrease of that character even until it is eliminated. On the opposite side, having a blue phenotype will become a benefitial trait, rising the number of blue individuals in the butterflies population.
