Can you explain the vertical line test for graphs simply. (I am doing 8th grade algebra)

The vertical line test is a visual, graphing methid that helps us to determine if the relation given is a function or not by doing vertical lines that cut the graph.

The vertical line test follow the definition of a function every value of x must be paried to a single value of y.

Therefore if we do a vertical line ans we cut tewo times the graph of the relation this relation is not a function
