Triangle area = 1/2 * 8cm * 6cm = 24cm²

Rectangle a area (bottom one) = 17cm * 8cm = 136cm²

Rectangle b area (the one to the left) = 17cm * 6cm = 102cm²

To calculate Rectangle c we need to know the hypotenuse of our triangles

Formula for the hypotenuse is c =
√(a^2+b^2)

so c =
√(6^2+8^2) = 10

Rectangle c area = 17cm * 10cm = 170cm²

So the surface area is 2 * 24cm² + 136cm² + 102cm² + 170cm² = 456cm²

The volume is 1/2 * h * a * b = 1/2 * 6cm * 8cm * 17cm = 408cm³
