to solve this question, we just need to write a simple expression. we can also solve this by sketching something out

to find the difference, we just have to subtract below sea level from above sea level. But we have to take into consideration the anything below sea-level will give us a negative value just like in our number line system.

from the calculations above, the difference between the two points is 5771 feet.
