You can use the Substitution method to solve it. The steps are the following:

1. You can substitute the first equation into the second equation and solve for the variable "x":


\begin{gathered} 3x+2y=13 \\ 3x+2(4x+1)=13 \\ 3x+8x+2=13 \\ 11x+2=13 \\ 11x=13-2 \\ x=(11)/(11) \\ \\ x=1 \end{gathered}

2. Knowing the value of the variable "x", you can substitute it into the first equation and then you must evaluate, in order to find the value of the variable "y". Then, this is:


\begin{gathered} y=4x+1 \\ y=4(1)+1 \\ y=4+1 \\ y=5 \end{gathered}

The solution is:
