For 3 numbers to form a pythagorean triple, the sum of the squares of two of the numbers must be equal to the square of the third number.

The given numbers are 24 and 10. Let the third number be x. It means that

\begin{gathered} x^2=10^2+24^2\text{ = 100 + 576 = 676} \\ x\text{ = }\sqrt[]{676} \\ x\text{ = 26} \end{gathered}

The third number is 26
