Two-thirds of a number reduced by 11 is equal to 4 more than the numbers.

Let the number be x

2/3 x - 11 = 4 + x

Multiply through by 3

2x - 33 = 12 + 3x

Collect like terms

2x - 3x = 12 + 33

-x = 45

Divide both sides by -1

x = -45

The number is -45
