You have the following equation:

-11q + 4 = -9q + 5

solve the previous equation as follow:

-11q + 4 = -9q + 5 add 9q and subtract 4 both sides

-11q + 9q = 5 - 4 simplify both sides

-2q = 1 divide by -2 both sides

q = -1/2

Hence, the value of q which makes the equation tru is q = -1/2.
