The given system of equations is expressed as

x + y = 25

8x + 6y = 190

From the first equation,

x = 25 - y

Substituting x = 25 - y into the seconmd equation, it becomes

8(25 - y) + 6y = 190

200 - 8y + 6y = 190

Collecting like terms, it becomes

- 8y + 6y = 190 - 200

- 2y = - 10

Dividing both sides of the equation by - 2, it becomes

- 2y/- 2 = - 10/ - 2

y = 5

x = 25 - y = 25 - 5

x = 20

(20, 5)
