Answer: (Y= 12x +3) The slope is supposed to be parallel so it stays the same but the y intercept can never cross the other so it's the opposite on a graph y= 12x -3 is parallel with y= 12x +3

Answer:

y = 12x + 1

Explanation:

Parallel lines have similar slopes but different y intercepts.

So we could write any equation that has the same slope as the given equation and a different y intercept and it would be parallel to it.

y = 12x - 3

the slope is 12

so the equation must have y = 12x

the y intercept is -3 so as long as the y intercept of the equation we create is not -3 it will be parallel with it.

y = 12x + 1

The y intercept chosen can vary but I just chose + 1

And we are done!
