We have

f(x)=(x-3)/(x^2-4)

In order to find the y-intercept we need to make x=0

and find the value of the function

f(0)=(0-3)/(0^2-4)=(-3)/(-4)=(3)/(4)

If

f(x)=y

y=3/4 and x=0 the y-intercept is (0,3/4)

ANSWER

the y-intercept is (0,3/4)
