Equation 1 calculates the area of a plane rectangular shape

The second equation calculates the volume of a rectngular solid

The third calculates the distance given the spped and the time

The last equation calculates the square of the length of the longest side in a right-angled triangle (the hypotenuse) using the pythagoras' theorem
