where m is the slope of the line and b is the y-intercept. Now, to find the corresponding values in the table, we must first find the linear function that describes the situation.

Step 1: Find the slope. By definition we have that the slope of the line is:

where (X1,Y1) and (X2,Y2) are points on the graph, in our case the table data
