The PRIME MINISTER is facing a furious backlash over plans to ban new diesel and petrol cars, with four out of five voters fuming
about the idea, a recent survey has revealed. The mounting ANGER is shown in the study of 25,000 drivers, including everyone from
van and taxi drivers to truckers and cyclists.

Despite concerns at a political backlash over the rising cost of living, the Prime Minister has decided to ban all new petrol and diesel
cars from 2030. On the surface, the move is designed to reduce the UK's carbon output by forcing people into private electric vehicles.
Cynics and sceptics have pointed out, however, that the government's own forecasts show that only by reducing the number of
journeys will emissions targets be met.

Seething motorists will be counting the costs this week after the government announced that it will ban the sale of all new petrol and
diesel cars from 2030. Despite claiming to be responding to public demand, a new poll found that 82 percent of motorists are
opposed to the idea, with many citing the fact that feeble electric vehicles cost more than twice as much and travel half as far as their
petrol/diesel equivalents.

Bonkers bureaucrats have today been slammed by a parliamentary panel for saying they will ban the sale of new diesel and petrol
cars by 2030. "If we swap to electricity," said MP Keir Johnson, 'we'll need to build 10 new nuclear power stations in the next decade.
In the last 20 years, though, we've built none! Where's the power going to come from? Or are poor people just going to be priced off
the roads?
