The formula for the area of trapezium is,

A=(1)/(2)\text{ }\cdot\text{(sum of parallel side)}\cdot\text{ (height)}

For the trapezium, parallel side are of length 8 in and 4 in, where height is 6 in.

Determine the area of trapezium.

\begin{gathered} A=(1)/(2)\cdot(8+4)\cdot6 \\ =6\cdot6 \\ =36 \end{gathered}

So area of trapezium is 36 inch square.
