Reflection over the x-axis transforms the point (x, y) into (x, -y)

Reflection over the y-axis transforms the point (x, y) into (-x, y)

Then, if the same point (x,y) is reflected over both axis, the final result is the point (-x, -y)

Rotation 180° counterclockwise about the origin transforms the point (x, y) into (-x, -y)

Therefore, Reflection over the x-axis and the y-axis is equivalent to rotation 180° counterclockwise about the origin
