write out the formula for calculating the volume of a rectangular prism:


\text{Volume}=\text{length x width x height}

From the question in the shared image, the volume, the length, and the height of the rectangular prism are respectively 936 cubic inches, 13 inches and 8 inches.


\begin{gathered} 936=13\text{ x w x 8} \\ 936=104w \\ (936)/(104)=(104w)/(104) \\ \\ \text{Therefore, w = 9 inches} \end{gathered}

Hence, the missing dimension of the prism is 9 inches.
