In APQR, r = 9 inches, p = 6.6 inches and ZQ=6º. Find the area ofAPQR, to the nearest 10th of a square inch.

To solve this problem we can draw or circle so:

So to find the area we need to find the hight so we can use the sin propertie so:


\sin (6)=(h)/(9)

and we solve for h so:


\begin{gathered} h=9\sin (6) \\ h=0.9 \end{gathered}

So the area will be:


\begin{gathered} A=(6.6\cdot0.9)/(2) \\ A=2.9 \end{gathered}
