The area of a square root is 2.25m2. what is the length of each side of the square?

Answer:

1.5 m

Explanation:

Area = length * width

or we can say

Area = side1*side2

since they are the same we can say

Area = side * side

which also means area = side^2

so we have the area and we want the side, we need the inverse operation for squaring something. the inverse of squaring something is square rooting

so

sqrt(Area) = side

so

side = sqrt(2.25)

= 1.5 m
