Explanation:

X=3g+2

To make g the subject, make it stand alone

While transferring 3g to the other side of the equation, the sign changes i.e + changes to -

The equation will then be written as: -3g = -X + 2 or -3g = 2 - x

Divide both sides by -3

g= (2-x)/-3
