The sine function is positive between 0º and 180º, and negative between 180º and 360º. In the unit circle, the vertical projection represents the sine, therefore, two angles have the same sine when they have the same "height". 30º and 150º are both 30º above the horizontal line, therefore, they have the same sine value.
