The angles labelled are similar, and therefore, they are equal. Hence, we get the equation

6x+20=8x

subtracting 6x from both sides gives

20=2x

finally, dividing both sides by 2 gives

x=10.

With the value of x in hand, we now find the measure of the labelled angles.

The first angle measures

(6x+20)^o=(6(10)+20)=80^o^{}^{}^{}

the second angle measures the same:

8(10)=80^o
