In a deck of cards

\begin{gathered} \text{Total number of cards = 52} \\ \text{Number of red card = 26} \\ \text{Number of king card = 4} \end{gathered}

Therefore,

\begin{gathered} P(\text{red card or king card) } \\ =\frac{no.\text{ of red card + no. of king card}}{total\text{ number of cards}} \\ =\text{ }\frac{26\text{ + 4}}{52} \\ =\text{ }(30)/(52) \\ =\text{ }(15)/(26) \end{gathered}

Therefore, the probability of picking a red card or a king from deck of cards is 15/26
