Explanation:

a) Angles around a point add up to 360°, therefore 1 rotation = 360°

If it makes one rotation in 36 seconds, then there are 10° per second as 360/36 = 10

b) closest to wall: this will be a 3/4 rotation:

3/4 of 36 seconds = 0.75 x 36 = 27 seconds

farthest from wall: 1/4 rotation:

1/4 of 36 = 0.25 x 36 = 9 seconds

c) 18 seconds is half of 36 seconds. Therefore, you will have made a 1/2 rotation. So you will be on the same horizontal plane as the start position, but on the opposite side of the circle (see attached diagram).

Therefore, you will be 20ft away from the wall (shown in blue).
