The distance between two pair of coordinates can be calculated using the formula:

\begin{gathered} d=\sqrt[]{(x_1-x_2)^2+\mleft(y_1-y_2\mright)^2} \\ (x_1,y_1)\text{ Pair of coordinate} \\ (x_2,y_2)\text{ Pair of coordinate} \\ d=\text{distance} \end{gathered}

Point Q (3,0) and Point R (1,0), replacing in the above formula:

\begin{gathered} d=\sqrt[]{(3-1_{})^2+(0_{}-0_{})^2} \\ d=\sqrt[]{2^2+0^2} \\ d=\sqrt[]{4}=2 \end{gathered}

Answer: C. 2 units
