Circumference of a circle is given by the formula

C = 2π r

where r is the radius

From the question given C = 10π

substitute and solve for r

10π = 2πr

Divide both-side by 2π

r= 5 inches

Diameter = 2r = 2(5) = 10 inches

Fomula for finding the area is given by:

Area of circle= πr²

= π (5)²

= 25π

To find the exact value, substitute the value of π=22/7

Area of the circle = 25 x 22/7

≈ 78.57 square inches
