The scale factor in the dilation of a mathematical object represents how much larger or smaller the image will be.

Example

Scale factor 2 for a side A Then, the new dimension will be 2A

Scale factor 1/2 for a side A Then, the new dimension will be 1/2A

If H'E'=18, you can use the equation below to find HE
