Given data

*A person bikes towards the south is u = 15 km

*Also it covers the distance towards the east is v = 3 km

The formula for the displacement is given as


s=\sqrt[]{u^2+v^2}

Substitute the known values in the above expression as


\begin{gathered} s=\sqrt[]{(15)^2+(3)^2} \\ =\sqrt[]{234} \\ =15.29\text{ Km} \end{gathered}

Hence, the displacement is s = 15.29 km
