Given two points (a,b) and (c,d), the slope of the line that passes through both is given by the quotient between the difference of their y-values and the difference of their x-values:

m=(d-b)/(c-a)

Then for the points (6,5) and (8,-5) we get:

m=(-5-5)/(8-6)=-(10)/(2)=-5

Then the answer is option A and the slope is m=-5.
