Price of CD before markup : 870

Markup: 870 x 0.25 = 218.75

CD + markup = 1087.75

Directly = CD x 1.25 = 1087.5

Answer:

$1087.50

Explanation:

The markup is added to the cost price to get the selling price.

$870 + 25%×$870 = selling price

$870×(1.25) = selling price = $1087.50 . . . . . simplify
