Note: Pythagoras Theorem


Hypotenus^2=Opposite^2+Adjacent^2

Therefore, using the pythagoras theorem


\begin{gathered} Hypotenus^2=Oppos\imaginaryI te^2+Adjacent^2 \\ H^2=12^2+5^2 \\ H^2=144+25 \\ H^2=169 \\ H=√(169) \\ H=13 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the hypotenus is 13
