each small square represents one square unit. Determine whether the areas of the figures form in arithmetic sequence. If so, choose a function S that represents the arithmetic sequence and find F ( 30 ).

Count the squares

  • The sequence is 4,9,25

Lets find common difference

\\ \sf\longmapsto d=t_2-t_1

\\ \sf\longmapsto 9-4=25-9

\\ \sf\longmapsto 5\\eq 16

Hence it's not an arithmetic sequence

Note:-

The common formula of given sequence is

\\ \sf\longmapsto f(n)=n^2,n=\{2,3,5\}

Answer:

  • A. Not an arithmetic sequence

Explanation:

Your choice is correct.

The sequence is:

  • 4, 9, 25

The difference is not common:

  • 9 - 4 = 5
  • 25 - 9 = 16
  • 5 ≠ 16

Correct choice is A
