6w - y = 2z

To solve it for w, let w in the left side and the other terms on the right side

Add y to both sides to move y from the left side to the right side

6w - y + y = 2z + y

6w = 2z + y

Now make the coefficient of w equal 1 by divide both sides by 6

(6w)/(6)=(2z)/(6)+(y)/(6)

Simplify it

w=(1)/(3)z+(1)/(6)y
