\bold{\huge{\pink{\underline{ Solution}}}}

\bold{\underline{ Given :- }}

  • The sum of two numbers is 25
  • One number exceeds another by 5

\bold{\underline{ To \: Find :- }}

  • We have to find the two numbers.

\bold{\underline{ Let's \: Begin:- }}

Let the number be x

Therefore,

Another number be x + 5

According to the question,

\sf{ x + ( x + 5 ) = 25}

\sf{ x + x + 5 = 25}

\sf{ 2x + 5 = 25}

\sf{ 2x = 25 - 5}

\sf{ 2x = 20 }

\sf{ x = 20/2}

\sf{ x = 10 }

Thus, The first number is 10

Therefore,

Another number will be

\sf{ = x + 5 }

\sf{ = 10 + 5 }

\sf{ = 15 }

\sf{\red{Hence, \:The \:two \:numbers\: are \:10 \:and\: 15}}
