We are asked to simplify the following algebraic expression:

3 ( 3 x + 5) - 7 x - 8

So we proceed to use distributive property in order to remove the parenthesis:

9 x + 15 - 7 x - 8

now we combine like terms among themselves:

9 x - 7 x + 15 - 8

2 x + 7

Therefore the simplified expression resulted in the binomial: 2 x + 7
