This is a cartesian coordinate system and every point has it's coordinate on the horizontal (x) axis and vertical (y) axis. The x coordinate is written and followed by the y coordinate.
1) (-8,6) | This corresponds to a point that is -8 units off the x axis and 6 off the y axis.
2) (2,2) | This corresponds to a point that is 2 units off the x-axis and 2 off the y axis.
3) (-3,-6) | This corresponds to a point that is -3 units off the x-axis and -6 off the y axis.
4) (8,-8) | This corresponds to a point that is 8 units off the x-axis and -8 off the y axis.
5) (-7,-9)
6) (6,6)
7) (-6,3)
8) (4,-4)
9) (9,0)
10) (0,4)
It'll be observed that the -x coordinates always lie on the left of the axes while x-coordinates lie on the right.
It'll be observed that the -y coordinates always lie below the axes while x-coordinates lie on the top.
