Keith invested $10,000 on Fund A and got a 3% profit. We let x be the amount of Keith invested on fund B that got 10% profit. The overall profit will have a 5% rate. The equation that represents this relation is written as

10000(0.03)+x(0.10)=(10000+x)(0.05)

To solve for x, let's simplify the equation further. We have

\begin{gathered} 300+0.10x=500+0.05x \\ 0.10x-0.05x=500-300 \\ 0.05x=200 \\ x=4000 \end{gathered}

Hence, Keith invested $4000 in Fund B.
