How do I factor an equation in the Ax^2+Bx+C form, if A= 2, B= 15, and C= -27. I tried using the x method but I don't think it's the right way.

Answer:

(2x - 3)(x + 9)

Explanation:

A = 2

B = 15

C = -27

when we plug these numbers into the equation (Ax^2 + Bx + C) we get

2x^2 + 15x - 27

using the "X" method we have to multiply the A term and C term together

so -27 x 2 = -54

so we have to find factors of -54 that also add to the middle term, 15

- 3 and 18 add to 15 but also multiply to -54 so we can add these numbers into the X (refer to drawing)
