The area of a parallelogram is the product of its dimensions, width and length. This is shown below:

\text{Area}=\text{width}\cdot\text{length}

The length is the larger dimmension of the parallelogram and the width is the distance between the two sides in an angle of 90 degrees. For this parallelogram the length is equal to 18 inches, while the width is equal to 7 inches. So we have:

\text{Area}=18\cdot7=126\text{ square inches}

The area is equal to 126 square inches.
