Y= mx+b
Y= 4x+1

Perpendicular means that the slop of an equation has an opposite slope to the original one


So flip the 4 (slope) and change its sign

New slope: -1/4

New equation: y= -1/4x+1

m=-1/4 put the 1/4 into a fraction so like m=-1/4
