Seiji and Gavin both worked hard over the summer. Together they earned a total of $450. Gavin earned $50

more than Seiji.
(a) Write a system of equations for the situation. Use s for the amount Seiji earned and g for the amount
Gavin earned.
(b) Graph the equations in the system. Let the x-axis = Seiji and the y-axis = Gavin. (Complete the
numbering on the axis)
(c) Use your graph to estimate how much each person earned.

[a] If the total is 450 and Gavin (g or y) earned 50 more than Seiji (s or x) then we can create the following system:

{ s + 50 = g

{ g + s = 450

[b] See attached

[c] Gavin earned $250 and Seiji earned $200

Using the graph, we will look at where the points intercept. The x will be Seiji, and the y will be Gavin. Using this, we can see the answer is (200, 250) leaving Seiji with 200 dollars and Gavin with 250 dollars

(there is also a simpler way to do this, but as I was following the assignment I think this is what you need!)

Have a nice day!

I hope this is what you are looking for, but if not - comment! I will edit and update my answer accordingly. (ノ^∇^)
