we have a mixed fraction, and we are asked to rewrite it as the sum of two signed numbers, to do that let's remember that a mixed fraction is equivalent to the following:

A(m)/(n)=A+(m)/(n)

For the mixed fraction 3 1/5, we can rewrite it as:

3(1)/(5)=3+(1)/(5)

For the mixed fraction -7 3/8, we can rewrite it as:

-7(3)/(8)=-7+(3)/(8)
