Perimeters and areas

Square perimeter = 4*side length

= 4L

Triangle area = base * height / 2

= B*H/2

Then 4L = B*H/2

We know that

B = L + 2

and H = 6 in

1. 4L = B*H/2

2. B = L + 2

3. H = 6 in

Replacing the second and third eq in the first

4L = (L + 2) * (6) / 2

4L = (6L + 12) / 2

4L = 3L + 6

L = 6 in

ANSWER the square area (given by L*L) is (6 in)* (6 in) = 36 i
