Explanation:

Domain is a word that refers to the first coordinate of points on the graph (the x coordinates).

Tip: to remember which is domain and which is range - (domain, range) alphabetical order!

It may help to think of sliding the points vertically (up or down) until they hit the x-axis. Examples: slide (-6, 2) down until it sits on the x-axis, (-4, 0) is alread on the x-axis, slide (-2, 4) down to the x-axis, etc.. Now look at where the points are sitting on the x-axis and write down their first coordinates: -6, -4, -2, 1, 4.

If you were asked about the range, you'd slide the points horizontally (right or left) until they sit on the y-axis.
