I forgot how to turn fractions into decimals pls help me

3/5 = 0.6 but how do u get 0.6

A fraction is essentially division, so 3/5 is the same as 3 ÷ 5

3÷5 = 0.6

5 cannot go into 3 so the answer is a decimal

then add a zero at the end of 3 to make 30

and 5 can go into 30, 6 times so you add a 6 to make 0.6
