I am not sure that you typed it all correctly.

but based on what is written here

f(x) = x²

g(x) = sqrt(x) + 2

so, g(f(2)) + f(1) = g(2²) + 1² = g(4) + 1 = sqrt(4) + 2 + 1 =

= 2 + 2 + 1 = 5
