Hi guys.I was sick on Friday and I don’t understand the work.I watched all my teachers videos and still don’t understand.I’ll be giving out 10 points to whoever helps.

Answer is x= 18

Step by step
See my attachment.
Corresponding angles are congruent, or the same (angles in blue).
So that means (5x-2) is adjacent or next to (5x + 2)
We also know the complimentary angle is equal to 180 degrees angle in green).
We can find x by adding the two angles together to equal 180.

(5x + 2) + (5x -2) = 180

Combine like terms

10x = 180

Divide both sides by 10 to solve for x

X = 18
