The United States went in to isolation and neutrality after world war 1. They believe their interests best served by focusing on themselves and secluding themselves from other nations. During 1941 the lend-lease act was created which allowed the United States to loan weapons and aid to other countries. The United States sent weapons and aid to Britain to secure the seas. The United States hoped the funds would provide enough support to over power and regain control over Europe from the axis powers without involving American troops. Many United States citizens were advertising for war and pushing the government to go to war and join world war 2. While that was occurring president Roosevelt approved a lend the lease act to China worth $100 million dollars to support China against Japanese forces. The final occurrence that sent the United States into World War Two was the
bombing on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
