Actually, getting hyper from sugar is a myth! Sugar does not make you hyper. Eating a lot of sugar can cause quick changes to your blood sugar levels, and it gives excess energy, but it doesn’t necessarily make one excitable and hyper. That myth originated from a study in the 70s, in which a doctor removed sugar from a hyper child’s diet and the child’s behavior became calmer.
