When answering equations that contain abolute values do I answer with the absolute value symbols ?

for example |-44| + |-34| do I answer with |-78| or 78 or |78|

It would just be 78, because you already found the absolute values for the original two number.

78

Explanation:

|-44| + |-34|

Using absolute values

|-44| = 44

|-34| = 34

|-44| + |-34| = 44+34 = 78

You will not use absolute value symbols in your answer
